Moroccan Tagine
A tajine (or tagine), is a North African dish which is sometimes referred to as a “Maraq”. It is named after the earthenware pot (wide and shallow base with tall conical lid) used to cook this hearty and aromatic stew. The tagine's conical shape makes a uniquely moist, hot cooking environment - as the food cooks, steam rises into the cone, condenses, and then trickles down the sides back into the dish.
Kebabs
The best Moroccan food is found on the street and not in restaurants! One of the most delicious street food is Moroccan lamb kebabs (brochettes). Just look out for billowing clouds of smoke in the medina and you’ll find kebabs cooking over charcoal.
Spiced Flatbread
There is nothing more delicious than flatbread that’s bursting with savory Middle Eastern flavors and textures! Kids will love rolling out their own dough, spreading the tomato sauce and topping it with spiced lamb.
