Dak Bulgogi

Dak Bulgogi

Bulgogi literally means “fire” (bul) “meat” (gogi), in other words BBQ! Korean BBQ is a must-have on your first trip to a Korean restaurant. It is usually thinly sliced, marinated beef sirloin or tenderloin. In our recipe, we are doing a Korean BBQ chicken, broiled in the oven instead of grilled. Served with steamed rice and broccoli rabe namul to create a balanced meal. Namul is a kind of banchan (side dishes). Having an assorted range of banchan is a traditional way of Korean cooking.

Bulgogi Kimbap

Bulgogi Kimbap

Kimbap (pronounced as gimbap) is Korean seaweed rice rolls that are filled with vegetable fillings, very similar to Japanese sushi except the rice is not seasoned with vinegar. It is a tradition to make your children Kimbap when they go on a school picnic or field trip for their lunch in Korea. It is also the most common street food and party food. You can have fun trying out different fillings but in this recipe, we introduce a popular kimbap with bulgogi beef (Korean BBQ beef) and a variety of vegetables.

Bindaetteok

Bindaetteok

Bindaetteok is a savory Korean pancake made with ground mung bean batter. Since it is made from mung beans (Nokdu in Korean), it’s called Nokdujeon or Nokdu Bindaetteok. It’s a classic holiday dish and popular street food. Koreans cook this dish for a very special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Lunar New Year, or birthday parties!
