Enchilada comes from the word "enchilar", meaning to season with chili. It's a traditional Mexican corn tortilla dish from the Mayan times (1000 BCE – 1697 CE) - corn tortillas are rolled around a meat and vegetable filling, then topped with a chili sauce.
Fajitas (pronounced fe-hi-tes) is a classic Tex-Mex fusion dish. Traditionally, strips of grilled meat and vegetables are wrapped in soft tortillas and served with sour cream. In our version, we sauté the meat and vegetables in a skillet instead of grilling them. We add some spice mix to the sour cream to create a spiced crema to complement the fajitas. It is a well-balanced and fun dish for family to share - get your hands messy and dig in!

Boneless pork shoulder is braised in the oven, or slow cooked ahead of time until meltingly soft and tender, with sweet, citrusy oranges and a traditional spice mix. The meat is then shredded and spread on warm corn tortillas and topped with a sweet pineapple salsa, the perfect, light contrast to the flavorful and rich pork. Corn is roasted in the oven alongside the carnitas, rolled in butter and topped with savory Cotija cheese, a pinch of cayenne, and chopped cilantro.

You can choose individual country boxes or build your own bundle by selecting the specific countries you’d like to explore - all shipped together in one shipment. For our monthly subscription, you’ll receive a new featured country box each month. Country selection is not available with the subscription.
Some of our country boxes are suitable for gluten-free and vegetarian diets because the spice blends and sauce mixes included in those boxes are gluten-free and vegetarian. These boxes are specially identified as Gluten-Free or Vegetarian-Optional. Vegetarian-Optional means that while some recipes may traditionally include meat, we provide clear vegetarian and vegan cooking instructions along with easy ingredient swap suggestions.
