They are made almost entirely of ground nuts with no wheat flour – traditionally almonds but it is sometimes combined with hazelnuts. Believed to originate sometime around the 1600s, Zimtsterne were a food for royalty since cinnamon was a very expensive and rare spice in Europe that time and had to be imported.

Yes, most of our packaging materials are recyclable. Just break down the boxes and recycle accordingly.
