Includes Three Delicious Recipes
Doro wat
For Ethiopians, no festive meal is complete without Doro Wat, a spicy chicken stew, served with injera flatbread. The traditional way is to use your hands to tear pieces of injera and scoop up bites of stew or vegetables (no utensils needed!).

Tibs wot
Tibs wot is made with berbere spices, but it is stir fried rather than cooked as a stew. Because the meat is thinly sliced, it is quick to prepare.
Misir wat
Misir wat is an Ethiopian vegetable stew seasoned with berbere spices and traditionally served on injera flatbread. In our version, we serve Misir wat with rice instead of injera bread.

These kits are great, but.....
I found my first 2 kits in store at Kohls. The recipes are easy to make, the food is good; the only problem I have with these is you can't really make the recipes again unless you buy the kit again, (which I will not do), as the seasonings used in the kits are made up especially for the particular kit and can't be recreated as a person needs to know the amounts of each spice that makes up the seasoning.....

Fun delicious recipes
We had a nice time making the recipes and they taste great. One request is that the instructions could be a little bit clearer. We found that there were a couple of places that were missing comma's and that made a difference in understanding the recipe. So maybe a little more attention to detail on the recipe cards?

Love the Content, Ingredients Could Be Cleaner
We have really enjoyed using these monthly boxes to explore new tastes & learn about new countries & cultures. I was a little disappointed at the quality of several of the ingredients, though, as they contained fillers & artificial ingredients which are cheaper & less authentic. It also makes it harder when dealing with food allergies in the home.

AMAZING
We love this box! Once a week we cook as a family and make a meal from the months box. So far we have completed Sweden and Morocco - we just got South Korea. The recipes are delicious and start wonderful discussion in the kitchen and at the table.

Great family cooking!
Loved it, bought for my daughter, but even i enjoyed the cooking!
